BottleRock Napa Valley Music, Food and Wine Festival 2017

With so many festivals happening around the world, each festival has to figure out something that makes them ultra unique. From music summits to large headlining acts something has to peak each attendee’s interest. What are you interested in?

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending BottleRock music festival in California. When you ask attendees of this festival what they’re interested in, most of them will reply wine and music! That means BottleRock 2017 had approximately 40,000 attendees each day celebrating the opportunity to drink wine and hear music from major acts like Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, The Roots, Modest Mouse, and other local favorites like Serf and James, Hibbity Dibbity, and Con Brio.

Some of the highlights for me included seeing the festival’s use of sign language interpreters for major acts like Maroon5, Ben Harper, and Michael Franti.

Attendees had the opportunity to see Macklemore and Ryan Lewis cook with Martha Stewart. Later in the day, during his performance he announced, “Martha and I are F-ing Homies.” On a deeper level, I appreciated his sediment, “Live music brings us together. This is real community.” I also thought Adam Richman from Man v Food had a pretty funny skit on the Williams-Sonoma Stage with Warren G. They changed the words to the song, “Regulate” so it was about cooking.

If you like day drinking wine with lots of other wine enthusiasts and eating gourmet food from tons of restaurants from around the Bay Area … this festival is for you! Check out my photo recap and consider attending the festival next year.
